Swim
Comments: Swim was decent. Was wearing different goggles as I seem to have lost my usual ones. The new ones were dark tint and impacted my sighting a bit. Transition 1
Comments: T1 was good but had a long run from the end of the swim to the far side of transition. Changed pretty quickly. Sat down to get socks on after almost falling on my butt twice. Bike
Comments: I felt like this was a really good bike segment for me. There were some horrendously strong head winds on the back part of the loop but I pushed through. Improved my speed by >1 mph over last year and moved up in OA ranking on it so think my speed would have been better without the headwind. Had to tell alot of folks to move to the right so I could safely pass. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Terrible. Was doing good plodding along for first 3/4 mile without walking. Then something popped in my bad foot and I could barely limp let alone run. Rest of the run was a hobble/limp/hop and in pain. What would you do differently?: Not get injured? Post race
Warm down: None, had to get out of there and off my feet What limited your ability to perform faster: Foot injury Event comments: Follow up with Foot doc on Monday. Cortisone shot, xrays and boot for 10 days. No exercise and no Chicago Tri. If no improvement in 10 days might require surgery. Last updated: 2011-01-09 12:00 AM

Typical light breakfast and coffee.
Simple stretching. Didnt want to get inthe water as I knew I'd be standing o n the beach waiting long time for the start and the wind was a bit chilly.
