Swim
Comments: when I dove into the water, my goggles filled with water. Not a great start. So I stopped and fixed them and moved on. Heading out, my navigation was awesome and I felt like I was swimming strong. On the way back around, I got lost in the sun and followed the crowd who I realized were all going the wrong way. I corrected just in time but I really had to stop and look around to see the next buoy - not ideal. Not a bad swim, I was okay with it. What would you do differently?: Not sure I really could have done anything different - the sun was the sun. Transition 1
Comments: If I continue doing sprints, I will invest in new cycling shoes that need no socks, I will stop wearing gloves, and I will clip my shoes in and attach with elastics and *maybe* learn how to jump on my bike, but that last part is a definite maybe. I really suck at transitions. This one is about as good as it gets for me. I used the strippers and did the best I could. Bike
Comments: Super disappointed in my bike. Wow. Usually my strongest and I was bad. Just couldn't get into it. Couldn't figure out why either. My cornering is getting better, so that's good. But I just had nothing to give mentally or physically for this one. :( What would you do differently?: get in the game... Transition 2
Comments: This is about as good as a transition gets for me - would be faster if I didn't wear the stupid gloves. What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: I was pleased to have "recovered" my race just a tiny bit with a good run for me. My rank is the lowest of all 3 events - I swear all these runners become triathletes. This was a very good run for me. It was hard to mentally push after such a rough time on the bike - but I get happier when I see my splits and they're good times. I was happy for the negative splits on this one. What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Warm down: Headed back to the room for a good stretch What limited your ability to perform faster: %&$^# mental weakness on the bike Event comments: I love this race. I am really very disappointed in my bike performance because it could have been a superior race for me. 2010 Results were swim, 8:03 T1, 3:07 Bike, 1:04:52 T2, 1:27 Run. 42:38 Overall, 2:00:06 Improvement in all categories except the swim - but I really think the length of the swim course is not consistent enough to measure year over year (or even day to day for that matter) Last updated: 2011-01-09 12:00 AM

Oatmeal and milk for breakfast. Woke up "late" as my condo was a short walk to transition. Got to transition around 6:30 to get a warm up in.
12:20 bike warmup, 7:41 run warmup. Strides/spin ups and just loosening up.
