Comments:

This was really just a training run for us and since we needed to do 12 miles we figured why not run it with a few hundred others. This was a really challenging course. Lots of hills, gravel road and loose mulch in places. We stuck with the long run plan and walked 1 minute every 2 miles. I tried really hard to not take an extra walk break but that last hill just about was the death of me and I wanted to finish strong so I added another short walk. The finish was inside the Kaplan arena. Was nice to come up the hill to the arena and here people yelling for me. Kevin and Abby were standing with a few W&M girls and they were all yelling to finish strong! That was the best run race finish I've ever done! Couldn't beat the weather.
What would you do differently?:

I really couldn't have done anything differently. It was the fastest I have ever ran a half marathon. I beat my fastest time by 8 minutes, and my offical half marathon times by almost 20 min.

Event comments:

I probably wont do this race again. I live 15 min away and can run the course for free if I need hill training. The swag wasn't that great. They ran out of bagels, and they didn't have many water stops.
