Comments: Walked one too many times. I should have been able to walk less but it's my first race of the year and I only trained for two weeks. What would you do differently?: Train more. My time will only get better. Post race
Warm down: Walked around, drank some orange juice, had half a bagel with peanut butter while continuing to walk and stretch. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not enough training. Event comments: I enjoyed the race and the volunteers were very nice. Many of the sponsors were also there and were nice to talk to. Looking forward to tomorrows bike ride. Arrived early and just sat in my car for a little while just to relax and drank my Fuzion and some water. I then did my warm-up and went back to my car for water and continued to that for a while until close to race time. Finally I ate my protein bar, had some more water, final bathroom break and lined up for the start.
Warm-up: walking and slow jog for about 15-20 minutes then some stretching.
