Comments: Tried to drink some water at mi. 4--mistake. Didn't need it, and I inhaled some of it leading to difficulty breathing. Had to slow down a bit to calm the breathing. What would you do differently?: No drinking during race. Otherwise, I think I paced it correctly. Post race
Warm down: Stretching in the park afterwards, ate a bannana and bagel and drank a powerade. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing but limited run fitness. Event comments: They do an amazing job organizing a race of 41,000 people. Everything ran very well and I was very pleased with this as my first 10k race. Last updated: 2011-01-10 12:00 AM
