Run
Comments: Can't wait until I step it up! I know its in me. I can feel it. I haven't been training. My run was okay. I had alittle bit of a stitch. I'm getting better at dealing with breathing into them. Base Base Base!!! I was seeded well, no problems. I just want to be faster! LOL What would you do differently?: hmm....pick my feet up!! Everytime i see photos of my run, looks like i'm weighted down! Also, I seemed to be so out of sync with the other BT'ers. I couldn't find them, didn't know what their race times were to go see them, at the finish, etc. I should have been more responsible ahead of time! Sorry guys. I have been too attentive to the forum lately. I did however get a great photo of us (Glen, JoAnne, Max, Amanda, JoAnne, and May) when I finally found you, i'll post. Thanks Glen for guiding me in. Kathy, I saw you run by with Rob!!! Woohoooo. Denise....I didn't see you!! Post race
Warm down: Stretching felt great. Changed into dry clothes...I LOVE the feeling of dry clothes right after the race. :) What limited your ability to perform faster: me! me! me! need to train!!! base...base...base. Event comments: A great race and a great venue. My kids were with me, I was running, life is good. Next time, I'll try to do a better job in hooking up with the other BT'ers. I had hard boiled egg white, toast with peanut butter and coffee. Woke up the kids, head out about 6:15am. We stopped at Dunkin Donuts, but just for the kids. I brought the toast and peanut butter with me. Got to the WTC, parked and found a table to call 'base' for the kids. Called Max, but I couldn't seem to find the gang. Met up with my friend Kristy, and we thought out her layers. I was happy with the two layers I had on and felt i'd be okay. Drank some water.
Lined up at the 10 min/mile pace area, and just did a bit of jogging in place. I did alot of waving to my babes, who went up on the bridge to watch.
