Swim
Comments: Think I figured out my three stroke breathing problems in races. Exhaling all the way through the stroke instead of holding until the head turn and lift for breathe at the end. Towards the end I started to get my three stroke down. Better sighting this year except for the finish where I almost went in on the wrong side of the big red buoy. What would you do differently?: Take a better look at the swim exit prior to the start of the race. Transition 1
Comments: Too slow, not horrible I guess. Found the bike ok and got out there. What would you do differently?: Need to step up and practice this. Bike
Comments: Love the bike, best part for me still. Took one of the first corners way too fast and went outside the cones, luckily there was nobody there to greet me head on. Got a little nervous on that one. Would like to have climbed the first hill a little better. Around lots of guys on the ride, one dude challenged me to the finish, told him he would take me in the run. Turns out he got me back on the bike just before tranistion. A perfect day, overcast the whole ride. What would you do differently?: Work the hills a little more in training to be ready for the race hill. Transition 2
Comments: Too slow, pretty bad time, not sure what I was doing. What would you do differently?: More practice. Run
Comments: Yeah, not a ton to say here, bad. Stayed overcast which was great, last time I did the International the sun came out on the run. Did a great job getting my cups into the trash cans, one girl complimented me, best part of my run. What would you do differently?: Work more on my running Post race
Warm down: First massage ever, felt great, had her work the legs mostly. What limited your ability to perform faster: Run training. Event comments: Another great SDIT, well organized and well run, hope to do this one every year. Last updated: 2011-01-21 12:00 AM

Slept great, best I ever have before a race. Up at 4:00 am, double checked my gear, ate half a chocolate chip CLIF bar. Got mom and A up and going and left for transition setup. Airport wouldn't let us park where we wanted, had to head back and park at Starbucks thus a long walk to transition.
Long walk to transition, some stretching in transition, not much.
