Event warmup:

Ran back and forth to/from home to get bibs, then exchange for different one as Jace was accidentally registered for the 10k. I got more warmup than I planned on. I wore VFF Bikila's for warmup, raced in Saucony A4's (citron).

Comments:

For the 10k.. I didn't see anyone there that I recognized at past winners, but noticed a few guys at the start line that looked like they were going to push it a bit. We started and within about a quarter mile three of us, Pete Brueggen, Georg Von Borman, had a pretty good gap...

What would you do differently?:

Not run 18 miles the Wednesday before this race--on this course. However, that was my long Ironman training run--had to do it.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Running 18 miles the Wednesday before this race--on this course. That was the longest run of my life at the time.
