Pre-race routine:

Woke up @ 0400 ate a bowl of oatmeal, went through check-list and got on the road.
Event warmup:

Arrived at the venue at 0545 and set up my trasition area. Ran ~.75mi around 0715 and some light stretching

Good swim. I was able to pass 3 people before I got tied up in line of 5 or 6 swimmers behind a slower swimmer.
What would you do differently?:

Better push off from the walls and swim a little more aggressively when stuck in trafic.

Long run from swim exit to bike exit. I stepped into my bike shoes and ran to the mount line. Once I got up to speed I secured the velcro and ratchet straps.
What would you do differently?:

Learn to get on bike with shoes secured to pedals

Long run from dismount line to run exit. I felt I did it very smooth. Lace-lock and going sockless were a big time saver

Still need a ton of training to place better overall.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I could have pushed harder on the bike and I need more run training

Event comments:

This was the first time I have competed in a triathlon and I blew my goal time out of the water. I could not have asked for a better time or event for my first one.
