Swim
Comments: The swim time included a VERY long run to T-1, and picked up the time when leaving on the bike. The run and T-1 probably were close to 5 minutes. The swim went well...I seeded my self towards the front and held my own on this swim... Transition 1
Comments: I had a great transition, but the way they did the timing, T-1 was included in the swim time... What would you do differently?: Not a dang thing Bike
Comments: I hammered the bike...the bike time includes T-2 time as well....I averaged over 22 MPH on the bike. Transition 2
Comments: T2 was blazing fast...had my feet out of the bike shoes 200 meters before T2, popped off the bike and was out running very quickly... Run
Comments: I did not go as hard as possible on the run....I went hard, but not full throttle. What would you do differently?: I perhaps was a little slower on the run after my hard bike...not sure. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Warm Weather...Lack of "killer instinct" and being willing to suffer more... Event comments: This was a great tune up race for Ironman. The intensity of an Olympic distance provided a terrific workout, and I love the race day atmosphere and vibe...ONE MORE RACE IN THE 45-49 YEAR OLD AGE GROUP....ON AUGUST 14TH I AM OFFICIALLY AGING UP TO 50-54....THOSE OLD GUYS HAD BETTER BE READY FOR LAR DOG....CAUSE HE'S A COMIN....AND FAST!!! Pre-Race Predictions as of July 6th, 2006:
S= 28'
T1= 3'
B= 1h 8'
T2= 3'
R= 43'

5' of swimming after getting into my wetsuit. A few leg kicks to get my heart rate up a tad...
