Swim
Comments: For some reason I have a much harder time pushing myself on the open water. I don't struggle at all but I think I try to minimize my kick and "save" myself too much..I need to learn to step it up some more on the swim Transition 1
Comments: For some reason this was a poor transition. I fumbled a little with the helmet, and the bike...it is a big Transition area too - very long What would you do differently?: New helmet - should have practiced more Bike
Comments: This is where I really wanted to improve. I have been working so hard on getting comfy on my bike and I finally feel like I am there. I held aero the whole time, cornered and shifted well and raced it hard...but...I am still disappointed with my split. A year ago I never would have thought that I would be in the top 20% of my AG on the bike...but I still want more. About mile 17 I got tired too. What would you do differently?: Not sure because this whole tri bike thing is still a little new to me. I do know that at Racine I am going to take a little more time making sure my shorts are adjusted "properly" though ;) Transition 2
What would you do differently?: Would have been fine except I dropped my shot blocks so wasted a few seconds there Run
Comments: This was great! I am very happy with this run. I knew that there were a couple of women in my AG ahead of me and one of them I had in my sights...but I didn't catch her and when I realized I was probably not going to I let off just a little bit...no reason to totally burn myself when I have a month of hard racing ahead of me. Still this was so comfy and nutrition was perfect...if I can feel like this during Racine no matter what pace i am running I will be super excited! Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: I would say I went 85-90% during this race..I am not sure where I am going to go 100 at..I would say Racine but for my first HIM I don't know what 100 is...guessing ti will be Hyvee :) I am very happy with 15/238 females overall for my 2nd olympic distance. Also a 12 minute improvement over last month. Event comments: Last year I did the Sprint and that was my very first tri - it had me hooked. I think they do a great job with this race and I am most liklely going to do it again next year. Last updated: 2011-01-28 12:00 AM

Got there super early - usual english muffin and banana...mt dew and apparently too much water because I have never had to pee so bad while I was racing!
