Pre-race routine:

Up, dress, oatmeal w/ pb and juice, poo, then to the race site about 90 minutes before the gun (thanks, Matt).
Event warmup:

Jogged around the block twice. Felt fine.

Comments:

I started out good and slow. Picked up the pace around mile 3-4, but then at mile 4.5 or so I got a nasty stitch in my left lung and had to ease up. I also forgot about the second hill at the end of the course, so I was pretty trashed by the end. Was hoping to beat an hour, but I just didn't have it in me.
What would you do differently?:

Be better prepared for the distance.
Post race
Warm down:

Went inside to try to get my temperature equilibrated. Got snacks, waited for Matt to finish.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My training.

Event comments:

Half marathon distance got shortened by about 1.5 miles or so due to an incorrectly placed turn-around. I didn't have any trouble with my course or experience, though. I said the course was "too hard" because I was undertrained for the hills.
