Swim
Comments: Water was cold... Figured it would be "only" 400 meters, I decided to put myself in front of the pack. Start ! Went off waaayyyy too hard at the beginning, choked water twice even before the first buoy... I was cooked already... :( Idiot ! Try not drowning for the remaining and was angry at me... Finished paintfully and had to run for a good way on the beach and the grass up to the transition area. I was mad and knew it was my worst swim ever... What would you do differently?: Use my brain a little bit more to tell myself not to go ballistic at the start. I'm conviced I would have been faster if I started slower at the start... Anyway, don't look behind, always look forward, time to hammer the bike! Transition 1
Comments: Average transition. Lay on the grass to remove the wetsuit as I found it more easy. Good clip on the pedals. What would you do differently?: Nothing, it was alright. Bike
Comments: Hammered the bike ! Coach told me to push as hard as I could on the bike, I did what coach is telling me to do :) Passed a lot of people and it was the first time nobody passed me on the bike :) Managed to go back on track on the bike and go back in the front of the pack :) What would you do differently?: Maybe pushed a little bit harder to try if I would have been OK. Transition 2
Comments: Good transition. Messed up a little bit to remove my biking shoes but other than that, alright. What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: Run was OK, felt good after the bike and managed to stay in the same position I was after the bike. Unfortunately, I did not succeed to pass anybody else in my age group. What would you do differently?: Pushed harder. I think I've been lazy on this one and I could have been faster. Need to try to push more for short distance like this one. Post race
Warm down: Nothing, stay close to the results table and was frustrated to see I finished 4th... Happy, but, you know... ;) What limited your ability to perform faster: Definitely the swim! The good thing is I know what to work for the off season... ;) Event comments: Having a course right in Toronto is a good experience but I don't think I will do it again. The give-it-try is too short for me now and I don't see the fun of doing 3 loops on the island for the bike course. The course is still very well organised and it is always a pleasure to see that MSC is putting the safety first in the organisation of the race. Godd job guys ;) Last updated: 2011-01-31 12:00 AM

Nothing special, try to eat a bagel with peanut butter but went only trough half of it.
Biked to the ferry terminal and wait.
Followed my coach plan: run for 10 min easy, then bike for 15 min eazy with 3 times acceleration surge for 30 seconds and then swim for few minutes.
I might have been a little too hard on the bike for the warm up as I felt my legs were tired later on... stupid am I... :(
