Run
Comments: Awesome run!! Started off a little fast (8:42, 8:45, 8:48), then settled in for the hills, it was hard to keep my pace here (I dropped to 9:22 & 9:27), was a little worried, but able to make it up on the backside. The last 3 or 4 miles of this course are downhill. REALLY wanted to break 2 hours, worked hard for it the past few months. It rained at the beginning and then lightly throughout. Felt pretty good overall. What would you do differently?: Nothing, really. Post race
Warm down: Went through chute, got my medal, got chip cut off, got a few snacks, talked with a friend. Then, went out to watch my husband finish the Full Marathon. Got to see both the male & female winners (dang, they are freakin' flying!!). What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing. Event comments: The Flying Pig is an Awesome race! Lots of friendly volunteers, awesome swag (backpack, tech shirt, poster), good entertainment and tons of Flying Piggies!! Last updated: 2011-02-13 12:00 AM
