Comments: Had an ok swim for me. This was my first olympic distance and I just wanted to make sure I was able to do the whole race without stopping. Could have been faster but did not want to bonk on the run. I will take the 1:46 average. What would you do differently?: Set a little faster pace, but other than that not much. ![]() Transition 1
Comments: Long run to transition. I was not going to sprint with bare feet on the concrete. Ran on the grass a bit and into transition. I need to buy Tri shoes for the bike and go sock less, this tends to add close to 2 min to my transitions. What would you do differently?: Buy new shoes and go sock less. ![]() Bike
Comments: This is a good bike for me. I just started 1 year ago and never rode a bike seriously in my life. My last best bike was sprint distance at Sand Key where I averaged 18.8 What would you do differently?: Not forget my Gatorade bottles at home! ![]() Transition 2
Comments: Glute lock up on me coming off the bike. Had to take a minute to stretch it out. Only having 1 bottle up to bottle exchange kind of hurt me a bit. What would you do differently?: go faster!!! HAHA ![]() Run
Comments: I had that cramp for the first 3 miles but was able to rehydrate along the way. Had a decent negative split and my last mile was a little over 8 min. What would you do differently?: Again I think if I did not get a bit dehydrated on the bike my run would have been under 1 hour hour. I walked the water stations and some the first couple of miles to get the cramp settled. Had more juice left in the body just not the leg. ![]() Post race

Totally out or routine! 1st of all forgot my drink bottles in the fridge at home. Ugh number 1. Then found my rear tire would not hold air! Ugh # 2. Thank you to Chain Wheel Drive for swapping the tube and giving a quick shifter adjustment.
Not much, little swimming, and a lot of waiting. Pretty cool watching the pros go fly by to their finish.
