Pre-race routine:

Up at 4:55AM. Chocolate chip oatmeal cookie breastfast. Out door with wife and kids by 6:05AM
Event warmup:

Quick run (about 1/2 mile) and stretching near finish line. Bathrooms with no lines at Waterfront park playground.

Comments:

Ran out of steam again at 10 mile. Was running 8:20 for first 7 miles then slow down to around 9's for remainder, including a couple of short walk breaks at 8, 10, and 12 mile.
What would you do differently?:

My training was down this year. Although I PR'd, could of killed this course if I put the miles in. Should of been hitting hills @ Iroquois park earlier in training, less time on the treadmill. Didn't get all my long runs in this year
Post race
Warm down:

Straight back to car to get on road to coach two soccer games. Both my teams destroyed the others. I shouldn't get so high off my kids winning soccer, but I love it.

Event comments:

Still the best organized race in Louisville.

Course: New course for 2011. Downtown Louisville to Churchill downs and back. Course nearly completely flat. Last minute course change cut-out biggest hill on what would of been loop around Papa John's Cardinal stadium.
