Event warmup:

2 lap swim warm up, stretched hams, quads and arms
Swim
  • 06m 18s
  • 300 yards
  • 02m 06s / 100 yards
Comments:

swim felt good, didnt push it, breathing and strokes consistant the whole time. Had to slow down because of the guy ahead of me, able to pass at the next lap.
What would you do differently?:

In retrospect, I think I could have swam faster but I felt really good. I actually thought I might have cheated because the second half of the swim went by so fast, I am usually dying between 150-250. I was behind the right people so I know I didnt miscount the laps. Quite a suprise actually since I was dreading it.
Transition 1
  • 03m 32s
Comments:

needed to dry feet off a little better, hard to get my socks on.
Bike
  • 32m 42s
  • 9.5 miles
  • 17.43 mile/hr
Comments:

rode fast on the part that was closed to traffic and smoother road. slow starting out as usual but not as bad as I thought it would be
What would you do differently?:

Need to ride a little faster- wasnt sure if i would have enough left for the run
Transition 2
  • 01m 20s
Comments:

tranisition was smooth, no big deal.
What would you do differently?:

make sure Garmin was reset
Run
  • 28m 38s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 09m 13s  min/mile
Comments:

felt really good, wasnt sure I could hold my pace but I did,and got faster. Had a guy close behind that I was determined not to let beat me, good motivation
What would you do differently?:

still cant drink on the run very well.
Post race
Warm down:

warm down? what's that??

What limited your ability to perform faster:

just unsure of my fitness level right now. think I paced everything well.

Event comments:

Great race as usual, could have had better post race food! oranges, chips and peanutbutter crackers water and soda.
