Swim
What would you do differently?: Practice, practice, practice. I was not really comfortable in the pool. Ready for some open water swims! YEAH! Transition 1
Comments: I have only ridden my bike ONCE in over a year. I couldn't at all get clipped into my pedals. Bike
Comments: I felt pretty bad on the bike. I first had trouble getting clipped in, then just felt tired and uncomfortable on the bike. I MUST ride more!! What would you do differently?: Ride my bike more than once in a year before a race!! Transition 2
Comments: I was so sick of the bike by the time I got to the rack that I just kind of tossed it on the ground. What would you do differently?: T2 wasn't all that bad. I did drop my hat and have to turn around and pick it up so I think I'd run out of t2 with my hat and then put it on! Run
Comments: The run actually was pretty hard and I felt really slow. It wasn't AS slow as I thought but isn't anywhere near my ability. I think the main reason that I was slow is that I was just zapped from the bike! Post race
Warm down: walked a little and then stretched. I'm not much of a warm down person! What limited your ability to perform faster: Not training enough on the bike and swim. Event comments: This was a good first race course wise. I wasn't quite ready to race and actually just decided to do the race after the date change. It did show me that if I don't want to feel sad with my results etc, then I need to train harder. I enjoyed it and now know what I need to work on and my new goal is about 11 minutes faster than I did this race. 7 minutes on nike, 2 1/2 on the run, and 1 minute on the swim and 30 seconds or so on transition Last updated: 2006-03-22 12:00 AM

Ate half a bagel and a banana. Typical for me in any race.
Stretched a little but that was it!
