Comments: Ran the fist 10.5 before my buddy and I needed to walk a bit. Then kind of did a run walk for the remaining 2.5 miles. What would you do differently?: I would have training on hills in light of the elevation changes on the second half of the course Post race
Warm down: Used the walk back to the car as the warm down. Took a hot shower, and soaked my feet in ice water post race. Must've worked pretty well because I was in relatively good shape the next day. What limited your ability to perform faster: Plantar problems with both feet required more time off than the training plan called for, which was disappointing. Woke up at about 5:00 am. Grabbed a shower and some breakfast. Had a bowl of wheaties fuel, a banana and some gatorade. My buddy and I drove to the event and ended up parking about a half mile away. Essentially used the walk to the start as our warm-up
