Pre-race routine:

I had a cup of coffee while getting ready and I got a ride down with Karen & Jordan so I ate my oatmeal on the way down. Go there a little early but It was Karen's first race so I understood that!
Event warmup:

It was going to be a great day to race- NO RAIN!! Met up with the other Runner's Den runners- mostly waiting for Lindsay! and just kept together waiting for the race to start. Stretched a bit but not really. My Garmin didn't charge so I had to rely on Lindsay and that sucked. I'm sure I could've come in under 2:07 but no watch = no pushing. Oh well, maybe next year?

Comments:

Chocked about no Garmin but it was a decent race. Not the time I was looking for but still an improvement over last year. Very enjoyable and beautiful out!!
What would you do differently?:

Charge my watch. Not watch the double overtime of the hockey game- which might have been worth it if the Canucks won! 2-1 loss to Nashville. Other then that.... not too much else. Had enough to eat, drink and rest (during the day-no gardening done and i wanted too SO BAD!!)
Post race
Warm down:

Stretched and waited for the others to cross! Waited for Lindsay who was only 1:30 behind me!! Yeah Lindsay!!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Relying on a stupid watch! Should do the next training with one!

Event comments:

It was a good race and I'm happy that I beat last year's time! I wish I wasn't so dependant on my Garmin!
