Run
Comments: started of easy and once every cleared i pushed the pace. Passed quite a few people as I started towards the back. What would you do differently?: Just remember to race MY RACE. Most of the people there were big time racers. Not many weekend warriors as the weather was so bad it would have kept people home. Transition 1
Comments: No timing chip so have no idea of splits Bike
What would you do differently?: nothing, I enjoyed the ride even in the rain. It was nice to keep cool instead of fighting off the heat. Transition 2
Run
Comments: I could hear someone drafting on my heels the whole way, kind of annoying. As we got to the last turn, about .20 miles from the shoot... 'that someone' passed me. I realized it was a girl in my age group...beeatch had been on me the whole run. I knew I had been going a good pace and here she was about to kick me out of the way and pass me. Well, NO WAY was I going to let that happen. Some how, some where inside me I found strength..I pushed HARD, passed her and sprinted to the finish shoot. I had snot flying out of my nose and slobber coming out of my mouth but I didn`t care. I felt AMAZING, I had no idea I had that in me. Post race
Warm down: stretched and talked to everyone who would talk back to me. Tried to dry off and changed into some warm and dry clothes. What limited your ability to perform faster: nothing I did my best. Event comments: So, I won my age group!! But, not sure how many people were in it. I know there was 1st 2nd and 3rd, so at least 3 of us. It turns out the girl that was on my heels for the final run was 2nd place, so if I hadn`t turned on the gas on that final leg I would have got 2nd!! YEAH BABY!!! Last updated: 2011-03-02 12:00 AM
