Swim
Comments: first ow swim of the year, water felt great! lots of contact to the first buoy. Swam the whole way without backstroke for the first time. Got a little winded at times and needed to breast stroke. Think I need to go strong at first to clear the group then settle into a groove. Transition 1
Comments: long run up to t1. Felt winded but first tri of the year so to be expected. Bike
Comments: hit the bike hard. Can't believe there were some guys doing 24+mph avg Crazy good. What would you do differently?: less fluids on bike Transition 2
Comments: rack almost collapsed putting bike on. Not good. Got toes caught in shoes webbed interior. What would you do differently?: minorua hook on back of seat for easy racking Run
Comments: really pushed the run. High HR, in LT whole time. I'm just not a short course speedster guy. Hop I am a long course guy eventually! What would you do differently?: ran as well as I could. Need to train with more speed Post race
Warm down: sports drink, walk. Collect stuff and get out to work! What limited your ability to perform faster: speed on the run. I feel my swim is as solid as I can get. I'm not going to get that much faster there but I can get better conditioned so I am not dying on the run out. Bike was solid, less fluids though. Run training needs speed work.
