Comments:

My last 1/2 marathon almost six years ago was 2:06 and some change. When I signed up for this race I wanted to break 2 hours. Then the reality of winter running set in: poor conditions, being sick for several weeks in Jan and Feb, skipping a workout or two due to bad weather and moving a few others onto the treadmill... By the time this race rolled around I just wanted to finish. I'm very satisfied with this result. Race conditions were slushy and icy and I had some serious hip tightness/pain set in by 13km. Managed to push through the whole thing anyway.
What would you do differently?:

Train more, and pick a fall race if I am trying to PR.

Event comments:

It will be a while before I do another half marathon, but I would recommend this race to anyone. Great for keeping me motivated over the winter.
