Comments: Alot of contact on the first leg, more contact than I've experienced in previous races. I started in the very front for this race, my other races I started in the middle. I think that explains the crowd and contact. What would you do differently?: Maybe start in the middle of the pack. Transition 1
Comments: I just have to work on every part of this transition to improve here. A little trouble with my suit. I held back some coming out of the water and up the ramp. What would you do differently?: Practice this transition more before race day. Bike
Comments: I rode pretty hard. A good ride overall. I need to pick up my time on the bike. I did alot of indoor training and I'll do more outdoor training for my next race. What would you do differently?: I'm not really sure what I could have done differently except adjust my training. I need to do more bike to run bricks. Transition 2
Comments: A pretty good transition. I was pretty beat after the ride and walked out of the lot. What would you do differently?: I know there is room for improvement. Again, more bike to run bricks would help. Run
Comments: I was a bit worn down by the time the run started. I walked a couple of times. I estimate that I walked about 1/2 mile alltogether. I ran with everything I had left the last 1/8 mile. What would you do differently?: More bike to run bricks. Post race
Warm down: I walked around, stretched a little and sat in the grass. What limited your ability to perform faster: Well, I'll say it once more, I need to do more bike to run bricks. Also, I will be doing less indoor bike training and more actual training on the bike. I looked at my HR monitor after the race. My max HR was 209. I know this occurred on the run. I woke up about 2:30 am and couldn't get back to sleep. Started loading my truck about 4:30 and was off by 5:00. Breakfast was a plain donut and coffee. I got to the transition area and took a spot on the very end
