Comments:

Run felt good! Started in the back as usual, but felt good to keep a decent pace throughout. I think it helped to actually think through what I needed to do on the bike next.
Transition 1

Comments:

felt good about the start of the bike leg! Was a little disoriented getting into transition, cause all along I had prepped for a different T1...sort of nice to really have to do anything :)
Bike
  • 44m 16s

  • 16.88 mile/hr
Comments:

I really watched on the cornering. I really hadn't practiced sharper turns at a clip, so I watched it, but by turn 14 or something I felt more prepared! Everyone on the course was so nice and giving me room.
What would you do differently?:

I need more work on the bike to feel truly comfortable. I felt like I was giving it my all the whole time. Would like a different system for drinking to stay hydrated.
Transition 2
  • 01m 1s
Comments:

So glad I didn't have to change shoes! Could barely feel my legs while running the bike in.

Comments:

it was fine. I was very grateful for a guy that was extremely fit and all suited up for tri - I caught up with him and we ran together for at least 1.5, just about to the finish. He was so nice and kept me running at a decent pace. I did walk probably 2 times on this lap, I didn't really care. :)
What would you do differently?:

nothing, pretty proud of the two runs...I still don't love running but I like my paces on this race!
Post race
Warm down:

nothing really. walked around a little, hugged the kids, drank a water bottle and got some trail mix. Felt really just fine once I stopped. Took the kids back to Disney for the rest of the day :)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Hmm...just still new at all this. Feeling good about the drop in my run pace that I've achieved over the past three months! Still learning on the bike. I guess thats about it! Oh, and left calf was cramping like crazy on the second run.

Event comments:

I liked this race because it was super low key and there were lots of weekend racers and newbies. It could have been better organized, but I really, really liked the race directors...a great group! I was slightly frustrated because they listed my time wrong - I would have taken 2nd in my age group if the time they listed was correct. They had me in the wrong wave, so once they adjusted it, I dropped to 4th. But only 1m behind the 3rd place gal! :)
