Comments:

Very cold, and chop. Not used to conditions and kept breathing in water. Ended up breast stroking most of the way. Very disappointed in performance.
What would you do differently?:

Need more open water practice in cold water

Need to get faster. Got passed by a lot of Olymipic dudes on sweet bikes. My bike isn't the greatest, but that isn't an excuse. Need to get stronger.

Tired and I shouldn't have been. I think that I was disappointed in swim etc and it got into my head. I should be able to finish stronger given all the running that I have done.

Event comments:

I struggled for a number of reasons. First the a car accident on Friday made my body sore and tired. Also, getting over a cold/conjestion. Secondly, I sucked in open swim - the cold water really affected my breathing. Finally, I psyced myself out with the high level of competition being a USAT qualifier race.
