Run
Comments: I felt pretty good on the way out. I was really in the final group but I wasn't the last runner. My goal was to just keep my pace and jog/run the entire race. I did pretty well until the very last hill on the way to the finish line. I just had to walk a tiny bit. But at the top I picked up my pace and I ran hard down the very last hill. What would you do differently?: The race was fine. It was hard to catch my breath and I used my inhaler prior to the race. That seemed to help. Post race
Warm down: Walked back to the start (about .25) miles to pick up the overshirt I left out there. It was a good cool down and kept my legs moving. I was trying to catch my breath and coughing the whole way. But I just tried to relax and let my body do what it needed to do. What limited your ability to perform faster: The congestion in my lunges was the big challenge today. Without that i probably would have done so much better. The weather was perfect and everyone was very encouraging. Next year! Event comments: I had a nice time and I'm glad I went. Last updated: 2011-03-15 12:00 AM

Woke up early and had some coffee and yogurt. I was a bit nervous because I haven't really run since Tuesday.
Ran a bit of the kids .5 mile race with some of the little ones. Not a real warm up, but it kept me moving and my mind off of my own race that started later.
My friend and I were representing the SwampBats (local baseball team) and we were helping our mascot entertain the kids.
