Swim
  • 30m 3s
  • 2112 yards
  • 01m 25s / 100 yards
Comments:

Good Swim...
What would you do differently?:

get inside earlier and find someone my speed to draft off of. beat my PR by 1'.
Transition 1
  • 01m 17s
Comments:

Nothing major to note.
What would you do differently?:

move a little faster
Bike
  • 2h 38m
  • 56 miles
  • 21.27 mile/hr
Comments:

goal was 21 MPH and under 2.40, hammered that last 15 miles or so to make sure I had 21+, I was able to build up to 21.5, but I was passed by about 10 riders early on, and never really saw anyone after that.
What would you do differently?:

guess I need to go even faster in order to compete. Trhy to start faster, push harder with the tailwind, move up the hills with a little more speed, pick up speed out of corners, etc.
Transition 2
  • 01m 19s
Comments:

good transition.
What would you do differently?:

move faster
Run
  • 1h 33m 5s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 07m 07s  min/mile
Comments:

exactly what i wanted for the first 8, then the cramp messed things up...i really thought I would drop some 6.30's towards the end...
What would you do differently?:

take it a little easier on the bike would have made the run faser, but I was already slow on teh bike, so I'm not sure...maybe drink more on the bike to prevent cramps...
Post race
Warm down:

pasta, water, cookes,chocolate milk
Ice bath
stretch tent
compex at home

What limited your ability to perform faster:

failing to finish the run strong

Event comments:

Gloria does a better job each year with this event. Good time was had by all.

HR=157 7.20 first mile with the big hill, then 6.55-7.05 until mile 8 when I had to stop due to a severe stomach cramp. walked for 30" and started running, cramp didn't come back until the downhill at mile 12.5, but my speed wasn't where I wanted it. I was hoping for neg split but ended up slowing down.
