Pre-race routine:

Pop and English Muffin PB&J on the drive down.
Event warmup:

From the start area back to the car a couple times just to get the legs and heart woken up.

Comments:

Started with the 1:40 pace group, jumped ahead at the water stops to avoid the pack clustering up. The group had maybe 15 people running in the beggining but by mile 7 was just 3 of us. I fell off the pace at the 8 mile water stop when I slowed to drink and couldn't catch back up going up the hill. Miles 9-11 were slow, but the last two came in under pace.
What would you do differently?:

Take a gu before mile 10

Warm down:

To the car and back out to meet Katie at the 12 mile mark, then finish with her.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Training. Did feel slightly warm, haven't had many runs in temps over 60 this year. Think next year I'll bring the fuel beld to compensate for the small water cups on the course.

Event comments:

A couple bookkeeping mistakes at reg were taken care of very easily and caused no problems. I like the rolling course, the finishing straight is picturesque, but the best draw for me is stopping by the bakery after the race to buy Kolackys.
