Comments: I went 6:15 on my 400 yard leg, about what I thought I'd get. I need to learn to do good flip turns - going from open turns to solid flip turns could probably take several seconds off my time. What would you do differently?: Learn how to do flip turns! Transition 1
Bike
Comments: I finished second my my heat, averaging 342 watts according to my powertap. The computrainer had me at 327 watts. In the last indoor TT I did I averaged 334 watts on my powertap and the computrainer had me at 343 watts. I was in the first heat, and it was suggested by members of my team that maybe the computrainers weren't properly calibrated or warmed up. Either way, my power increased on my powertap by 9 watts over the same distance, and roughly the same time. What would you do differently?: More interval training to raise the FTP even higher - also loose a few more pounds to get my w/kg a big higher. Transition 2
Run
Comments: I didn't compete in this event, but the four guys that did all did extremely well. Three set PR's and we finished 2/11 teams in the run with a combined time of 1 hour and 12 minutes. Post race
Event comments: Overall, a fun competition. The initial heats were delayed - we were supposed to begin at 10:00 instead of 10:30, but it worked out ok. Our team finished 2nd out of 11 teams - we were solid in all three areas, which helped out. Last updated: 2011-03-19 12:00 AM
