Swim
Comments: Not a bad swim considering... sighting was really nice and by turn buoy one had enough room to swim. Start was a LOT crowded. Slowed a lot on the first leg by other swimmers. What would you do differently?: Guess I could swim more, have hardly been swimming... form, overall cardio and technique got me through this one. Transition 1
Comments: Not a bad T1 What would you do differently?: Ok T1, as usual could hustle up a bit more. Bike
Comments: Probably could have gone a bit harder and living so close to the race site I could and should be riding the course from time to time. What would you do differently?: Go a bit harder and ride the course more. Transition 2
Comments: 11th best T2, so pretty good I suppose. Felt pretty good coming back in from the bike. What would you do differently?: Slip on Zoots are the T2 bomb. Run
Comments: Pretty poor 5K for me, but happy overall with the race. What would you do differently?: Knee injury really held me back in training up to this race. I could have pushed the pace a bit, but finishing this race was all I was really hoping for. Post race
Warm down: Bottle of water and sat in a kiddie pool with some ice... felt really good. Mingled with tri friends and family. Had some watermelon and a little piece of a turkey sub from Subway. What limited your ability to perform faster: Knee injury leading up to the race killed a lot of training... feel pretty good overall coming from being able to hardly move around to completing an event. Event comments: Love Setup Events races. Big thanks to my wife for supporting me going into this race, coming off my injury I had lots of mental stuff going on... big thanks goes to her for believing in me. Last updated: 2011-03-21 12:00 AM

Nothing special, regular breakfast and got to the race site with time to spare.
Little splashing in the lake, relieved the water wasn't as warm as I had thought it could be with the high temps leading into the race.
