Run
Comments: Felt pretty good. Did exactly what I wanted to as far as time What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 1
Bike
Comments: The ride out was fun with the tail wind. Averaged about 27mph. The ride back against the wind I probably averaged 15-16 mph. What would you do differently?: Probably do nothing differently in the race. Will practice more riding against the wind. Transition 2
Run
Comments: The 6.25 mile bike against the wind really drained me. The heat and humidity really slapped me on the face during this part of the race. I did find a comfortable running pace after about 0.75 miles. What would you do differently?: Push myself a little harder through the pain. Post race
Warm down: hydrate and stretch Event comments: It was suppose to be a triathlon but the pool wasn't filled up yet. Something to do with not getting the final drainage upgrade plans from the State of Illinois. Changed to a Run Bike Run at the last minute. For me, it seemed like a good event but was a little disorganized at times. The main issue I had with this race is that I found out it would be a duathlon through members on this site. Never got an email indicating the change nor did I ever get a response to direct emails and voicemails to the race director/staff. Would I do it again? Probably if there is not another race I can do instead. Last updated: 2011-03-21 12:00 AM

Set-up transition area. Had a pop tart to eat an hour before the race start then a gatorade G1 20 minutes prior to start.
Easy warmp-up jog around the park. Stretched.
Very humid that morning.
