Pre-race routine:

since it was a 4:30 start, had time to have a shake for breakfeast and some ravoli for lunch.. nutrition was good, felt great during the event.

Didn't think I did as good as my time states.. thought I was more around a 10min pace.. very happy with a 8:61 pace.. as good if not better than any of my practice.. but I felt slow on the coarse..
What would you do differently?:

need more hill training.. had to slow down too much going over hills.. just trying to keep heart rate under controll

Warm down:

not much, felt good, only got cold and needed a sweat shirt.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

overall cardio condidion.. needs to be better.. that way I can push harder on the hills

Event comments:

Overall had a good time, after all the training I was disapointed about the swim being canceled, but I get it.. would have made for a cold ride.
