Comments: Went out too fast and then tried to hang on for the rest of the run. What would you do differently?: Try to maintain a more even pacing during the race. However, the concern was if I went out slower to start, I may still have dropped off at the same rate. Post race
Warm down: Ate an apple and bagel and walked around trying to keep from cramping up. What limited your ability to perform faster: Need to work on more speed work to become accustom to maintain the faster pace. The original plan was to run the full, but change the plan about a month earlier due to not being able to get in the distance in training. For this reason, there was more focus on the slower pace for the longer distance. Event comments: There were only 3 drink stations, which makes me glad that I carried my own. I was able to run throught the stations and not get caught up in the slow down as others are getting the drinks. Last updated: 2011-04-01 12:00 AM
