Pre-race routine:

marked off my triathlon race day checklist. Arrived at 7:20 or so. Racked my bike and checked in. Felt great and wasn't nervous.
Event warmup:

I warmed up with some light leg stretches. I got in the pool about 10 minutes before the swim started. Swam a few lengths to get the blood flowing.

I swam in a group that was a little slow for my liking.
What would you do differently?:

Next year I will swim in a faster group and see how it goes.

I took way too long in transition 1. It was cold so I tried putting on a long sleeve compression shirt. Man, what a mistake. It stuck to my wet skin making it difficult to put on.
What would you do differently?:

Buy a number belt.

What would you do differently?:

Need to improve on putting and taking cycling shoes on and off.

Didn't rack my bike properly and had to spend a few seconds re-racking it.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing different. More triathlons = more experience.

Didn't feel comfortable running. I was cramping in the beginning and had back spasms. I got passed up by several competitors in my division.
What would you do differently?:

Need to definitely train more on my running endurance. I will get there..

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Poor transitions, and not enough run training.

Event comments:

Really well organized. Volunteers were super friendly and helpful. Course was marked off and streets blocked off. Pool was heated. What else could I ask for....
