Run
Comments: This is a very nice run which I approached as a "tour". No records to be set today. Just a nice trot through a wonderful part of the country. Ran w/ Deb and we enjoyed the scenery and all of the diversity that comes with running a 10K. I haven't done one of these in a long time. What would you do differently?: Wear my garmin and HR, (maybe). Post race
Warm down: We crossed the finish line together which is a novelty. We walked out the other side and grabbed some free ...Chocolate milk! Got back to the car and cleaned up and drove back to Sommerville where we were staying w/ friends. What limited your ability to perform faster: The will to do it. This was just what we set out to have, a true fun run. Event comments: I would return and do this race again plus the ride the next day. However, I would bunk in downtown to get the full vibe of the event weekend. The weather was outstanding and this race while still showing a few kinks did a great job of moving 40K peeps to, through and out the other side of a point to point course. Well done. Early start and arrival at the Visitors Center to park. Geared up to get into line, and a long line it was...
Stood in line for approx. 1.5 hrs and then drove over the bridge to the start. Required a light jog to make it to the corrals before the gun.
The first 5 miles?
