Pre-race routine:

Did the usual...arrived a day early, checked into our hotel, went to the expo to get our bibs and goodies. For dinner we walked about 7 blocks and found a cool Japanese/sushi restraunt. Didn't over stuff ourselves...didn't want any GI probs :).
Event warmup:

Warmed up with a nice 1/2 mile walk from our hotel to the start.

Comments:

Love the course: nice and flat, scenic,perfect weather, good support along the course. Quads started tightening up at mile 9. Pushed through the increasing pain...my fault from not training enough.
What would you do differently?:

Uh, probably a good idea to train a little better.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around the post race festivities. The weather was sunny and warm, felt real good. Needed to walkout the tightness in the quads. Enjoyed the walk back to the hotel.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Tightness in the quads.

Event comments:

Will do this race again...love the scenery. Nice little weekend get away from home.
