Pre-race routine:

Awoke at 5:15 AM (7:30 AM race time). At 1 egg scrambled in butter with a cup of coffee with half and half. A bit later large smoothie with entire big can of pineapple, some guacamole, and some almond butter. Second cup of coffee while getting dressed.

Got there a little early. Shed long sleeve cotton race shirt just before start. Ran in shorts and nylon shirt. Ate some dried cherries.

ran according to plan.
What would you do differently?:

not much. Very happy with race execution. May have left too much in the tank.

May have drunk a bit too much gatorade at stops.
Post race
Warm down:

talked with friends. Went to daughter's fencing class. Ate double whopper with cheese, medium coke and fries.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Overall fitness only.

Event comments:

wish it had been certified. Usually is, but they didn't pay to have it certified just for one year due to a small one-year detour.
