Current was good of course. Had trouble getting breathing down for first 2 minutes. Lots of weeds in water.

Had to pee during T1. Forgot to put sunglasses in transition. Didn't run just took my time to do it right. Forgot number belt to wear it on bike. Oh well.
What would you do differently?:

Stop swimming and pee in the water. Setup T1 better. Make sure not to hurt left toe with sock too tight.

Not carry an extra bottle of Gatorade on bike. Learn to fill Aerodrink from bottle without stopping.

Comments:

It was hot with the sun out but I fucking loved every minute of it. First run in 2 months with absolutely no ITB issues. None. Damn near passed everybody.

Event comments:

This is a great race. For a first HIM for sure. So much fun. Everything is just right. If you climb no hills the bike is a little hilly. If you ride some hills it's just normal. If you climb any substantial hills, you'll call it flat.

I will definitely be back at this one for years to come.
