Comments: Caught a guy at the 275 point and wasn't really able to pass till last 50 What would you do differently?: Not sure, paced myself well, could have gone a bit harder but with that guy there wasn't much I could do so just accpeted it. Transition 1
Comments: It was cold and being wet and trying to get socks, gloves and Long sleeve jersey on was a challenge to say the least. What would you do differently?: Not sure, hope for warmer weather? Bike
Comments: Had some bloating issues but that went away. Sipped on water every few mins, took gel at mile 6.5 and stood up last 2 miles pedaling to really stretch my legs. Bc so cold and windy, thighs were really tight most of the way, especially when I would begin to hammer it on an uphill. What would you do differently?: Nothing, could have gone slightly harder I imagine but with my legs feeling the way the did, I wanted to make sure to run strong so ... Transition 2
Comments: replaced shoes (tying shoes was difficult but that was due to fingers being numb. Run
Comments: Legs were tight and heavy until the last .75 mile and that point I was all out sprinting. Until this point I was going as fast as my legs would let me. FELT GREAT ABOUT THIS RUN!! Was over 1 minute faster than my run on monday when simulating this TRI. What would you do differently?: Not sure, not much I could do with legs Post race
Warm down: walked, stretched and pounded some bananas. What limited your ability to perform faster: I was physically prepared for distance but cold weather was not fun in T1 and T2 and bike. Event comments: OK race, no drink stations on bike (which you shouldn't need) and 1 drink on the run at the turn around point. Fun race and would def do it again. Last updated: 2011-04-17 12:00 AM
