Comments: Started out the race slower than I would usually do but I took soem good advice from bstocks and did not go gun-ho at the beginning. I ran with bstocks for the first 5 miles and we averaged an 8.5 min miles. I really felt good for after the first 5 so I decide to speed up and kept a good 8 min pace for the next few miles. Had alot left for the last 3 miles and sprinted in the end. Felt relax and talked to people most of the way. What would you do differently?: Probably could have started out alittle bit faster but still not sure, if it would have been a good idea. Post race
Warm down: Did some stretching and walked around cheering in the other runners. What limited your ability to perform faster: Had some hips and knee pains during the race especially in the first few miles, but nothing too serious. I think I under estimated how fast I could run. Event comments: I really liked the run but I am not sure if I would have liked it on a cold and wet day. I like coruses with some hills because I feel that I better with them. I really enjoyed running the race with bstocks (who BTW had an awesome time). Really felt good after the race but I was not really tired. Last updated: 2006-04-02 12:00 AM
