Swim
Comments: Once again, pretty poorly organized swim, but good for me after not swimming for about 2 months, felt good in the water, breathing was good, not much rubbing on lane divider, didn't hit the other swimmer, paced with him, that's probably why I did so much better... What would you do differently?: Train for swimming, duh Transition 1
Comments: Collided with spectators after the swim, so freaking cold out in the air, had to put on a jacket and shirt, wet wet wet, had to take off my shoe covers, that was a bad idea What would you do differently?: No idea, do warmer triathlons, have my shit better laid out and remember my towel Bike
Comments: The hill really killed me, but that's not surprising given my weight still, should have been better, felt comfortable otherwise besides the cold, feet got pretty number.. What would you do differently?: Lose weight, Transition 2
Comments: Better transition, forgot my number though, had to go back, ready for the run, had to take off jacket and shirt, got out nicely though... What would you do differently?: Have things laid out better Run
Comments: This was by far my best, probably could have gone faster, but my feet and legs were cold jello off the bike, still, accelerated through the course, hills felt great, this wasn't surprising given my training on the dash n dine series...by far my best segment...felt so strong in the quads What would you do differently?: Nothing, just keep training baby... Post race
Warm down: Nothing, just chilled, took a shower and left What limited your ability to perform faster: Weight, temperature, confidence a bit, lack of training in the pool... Event comments: This was to date the worst organized triathlon I've ever done, granted I did pretty well in it, so I will have a bit of a good spot in my heart for it, still, the kids were writing their shit down on a legal pad! A legal Pad?! No computers, results not up for a week in entirety. Glad I'm moving back to Charlotte so I won't be tempted to do this race again! Last updated: 2011-04-20 12:00 AM

Got up in plenty of time, it was snowing outside, picked up Jill and we rocked down to Golden through the snow...at two Honey Nut Cheerios Milk and Cereal Bars and drank some of a Gatorade. Set up my junk, no rack so the bike was on the ground, chain was off thank goodness I noticed that...easy to get set up...Parking was miserable, so that sucked, registration was a disaster, didn't even know where to find my heat and lane until 2 minutes before I got in...still, pretty relaxed, though cold
Just ran about 15 minutes around the Colorado School of Mines, felt stiff but I think the run loosened me up. No chance to get warmed up in the pool though...
