Pre-race routine:

Went to transition early to set up and then went back to condo to relax. Went for a 600 yard swim in pool. Ate breakfast, took dog for walk and waited for my 8:50 am start.

Sprinted first 50 yards to get out ahead. Had clear water for a couple hundred yards and then got to other swimmers from previous waves. Time includes the few hundred yard run from swim out to transition.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing - swim felt great.

Wetsuit was stuck on my ankles. I forgot to lube up my ankles before race.
What would you do differently?:

Lube those ankles to make wetsuit easier to come off.

There was a strong headwind on the way north for legs 1 and 3. Legs 2 and 4 had a nice tailwind. Effort felt decent, but I spent way too much time and energy worrying about all of the bike traffic. There was plenty of space to ride (two lanes of traffic), but people were not staying to the side and not leaving any room to pass.
What would you do differently?:

Not worry about the other riders so much and concentrate on my own effort.
