Please remind me not to sign up for this race again. Too many rude newbies. The best part, besides having a positive outcome, was that I won a $50 gift certificate to Phoebe's for being the first person to register for the race. haha!

Course: I completely panicked on the swim, and hung to a kayak for a bit. Somehow I mustered the courage to keep going. With about 200M to go, someone ran into me, I kicked funny and my right calf cramped up. I stopped and composed myself, but couldn't kick, so I used my arms to get it. Not a good swim

Course: Knowing I had to make up time, I did so on the bike. I am very happy with the pace, and I really killed it on the hills. Getting my derailleur fixed may have had something to do with my newfound confidence.
