Pre-race routine:

Ran 4 blocks, then streched.

Comments:

Awesome experience. Challenging course. Good day overall.
What would you do differently?:

I would try and start at a slow pace. My first split was 7:30.
Post race
Warm down:

Powerade, cookie, banana, hanging with my wife.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Weather and terrain. These were the first hills I had run. This was also the hottest day of my training.

Event comments:

Great race, great purpose. Melanoma research is important to all of us endurance athletes. The shirt they give out is a Coolmax type, definitely worth the entry fee.
