Swim
Comments: Swim was good, I didnt feel as fast as what my times show. I don't know what lap the guy i was sharing a lane was with but I caught him at a wall and it was on. Just slowly worked on overtaking him and then leaving him behind me. Luckily I was counting laps in my head, because my counter put the stick in 1 lap early. I was like are you sure and she said yes, so i figured maybe i mis-counted. Before I get out of the water i check my watch and see 6:22 and know I didnt do the swim in that and so did another lap. What would you do differently?: Not talk to the lap counter =) Transition 1
Comments: A smooth transition, I really like the bucket and sitting on it to put on shoes. What would you do differently?: Dry my feet a little better, I felt some squishy on the bike and thankfully ended up with no blisters Bike
Comments: A really great bike ride for me. I really know my bike at this point in the season and know what gear i want to be in. I also attacked some hills got out of the seat and climbed a little. The main thing with the bike is to just keep going and not letting the brain slow you down. What would you do differently?: Not much but the new clips and shoes are here so we'll see how that changes things. Transition 2
Comments: Again not a bad transition, took my time racking the bike and walking out of transition. Hit the aid station as I came out and got some water What would you do differently?: Not much, this will be the last race biking in my running shoes. So we will see how this fares from now on. Run
Comments: My best run to date. I wish I could say I ran non-stop but that will have to wait for another race. From my track workouts at riverplex, I knew that it was ~30 steps to make it around the corner. When my legs would rebel I would take ~30 steps and start running again. What would you do differently?: Just keep working on my running, at the start of the season I relied on machines way to much and now so far all my running is on a track. That has paid off. Post race
Warm down: Cookies and a massage Event comments: It was awesome to be racing my teams home race and coming back to the very first race I ever did last year. I got a new race pr, swim pr, bike pr, and run pr and dropped 22 minutes off last years time. Can't wait to see what I can do next year. Last updated: 2011-05-02 12:00 AM

Ate my usual breakfast, double checked that everything was packed and headed down to the race site. Gelled about 15-20 ppl before I was to enter the water
Quick spin out on the bike, followed by a jog through town, hopped in the shallow part of the pool for a brief swim workout.
