Swim
Comments: Had to pee before ever getting in the water and tried doing so for the first 200 of the swim to no avail. Finally relieved myself in the last 200 meters. Sighting was better than ever as well as rounding buoys. I just need to become a better swimmer. Transition 1
Comments: Pretty decent transition, 2nd in AG, 11th overall What would you do differently?: Practice getting my suit off more. Bike
Comments: Pretty good on the bike, never was passed, and climbed really well. The course change was definitely in my favor as there were more hills which is all I get to train on. I really liked the course and approached 50 mph on the descents. What would you do differently?: Pushed a little harder? Transition 2
Comments: 1st in AG, 22nd overall What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: Best run I have ever had, EVER, stand alone, tri, EVER! What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Warm down: Walked around, grapped some watermelon and orange slices What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of swimming ability, otherwise pretty pleased Event comments: Nothing much else to say than HFP puts on a great event. They had many challenges getting this race setup with construction, landslides, etc and they made it happen. Last updated: 2011-05-04 12:00 AM

Not much, didn't check in the day before so I had to check in, get marked, and then setup transition. Bike course had been changed again so I was somewhat concerned as I had no idea what to expect. Family showed up around 15 minutes before the gun went off. It was nice to have them there as they had never been for a start of the race. Definitely kept me relaxed which was really nice.
Didn't get any warmup as I did not think we could get into the water beforehand. As I was walking down the ramp I saw people in the water where the exit was and wished I had gotten and at least flooded my suit.
