Swim
Comments: Plan going in was to relax at the start and not overdue it, worked out perfectly, never felt fatigued and breathing was superb. What would you do differently?: Learn to swim faster, I'm still new to this. Transition 1
Comments: Still didn't try leaving my shoes clipped on my bike to start it out. There was a lot of commotion at the mount line with sprint and olympic people getting there at the same time. What would you do differently?: nothing Bike
Comments: dismount was tough, a lot of sprint distance finishers dismount and walk to the transition area, made my running dismount difficult with a dozen people in the way. What would you do differently?: ride harder, I stayed in my comfort zone Transition 2
Comments: For having to deal with lollygagers in the dismount area I had a GREAT transition, 7th best all day of the olympic racers. What would you do differently?: nothing Run
Post race
Warm down: light jog for a half mile after the race followed by nice meal provided by the race. What limited your ability to perform faster: Overall endurance. This is my first season and as my base builds I'm sure I'll go faster. Event comments: This was right up there with the most fun I've ever had competing in any form of sports or races. The volunteers were amazing all day, including the ones who served our meal (to 1500 racers). Last updated: 2011-05-05 12:00 AM
