Pre-race routine:

Up @ 4:30. Shower and a bagel. The hotel was about a mile or so from transition so I just rode there. No need to wake everyone up to take me a mile away. Got to transition and set up. Popped in the tunes and chilled until warm up time.

Worst swim ever. Seriously bad. Never found open water. Never found a rhythm. Bad sighting. Just Bad.
What would you do differently?:

Everything. Need to fix my swim stroke. I'm pretty much self taught and it's time to fix that.

Push a bit harder. More practice slipping my feet in and out of my shoes would be good too.

Best run in any event I've participated in. I really paced myself well and honestly could have gone at that pace for quite a while. Coolest thing was a homeowner on the route out there spraying runners with his hose. It was much appreciated by the time we got there.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. Maybe see if I could push harder.

Warm down:

Hit the food tent to grab some grub and look at the video monitor that was posting as real time finishing times as they could.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My swim stroke is horrid. This is something I really need to fix ASAP. It is really limiting my ability to place in these events.

Will do this again. Well organized race by a very good tri shop in town.
