Pre-race routine:

Woke up, ate breakfast, got dressed and headed to the race after taking care of some stuff around the house (including taking care of my dog).
Event warmup:

Didn't get a chance to really warm up as good as I would of liked as I had problems with my transition getting set-up. Will arrive earlier next event (June 11th).

Comments:

After getting kicked in the head when going around the first buoy, I regained my composure and focused on my breathing. Had to swim with my head out the water the rest of the race, but felt good considering the fact.
What would you do differently?:

Not get kicked in the head, I feel I can have a good swim next time.

Great transition, glad I practiced quite bit in getting into shoes and fastening the straps on my shoes.
What would you do differently?:

Run a bit faster into T1, maybe bring some simple flip flops to save my feet/heels from running on the concrete.

Need to work on changing gears on hills, and also bike functionality. Need to do some bridge/hill work to feel comfortable.

Will push it hard next time. Look to shave 3-5 minutes off of bike time.

Definitely can push it next time. Felt great, started slow and did a negative split on mile 2 and 3. Finished strong.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Need to warm up better before race next time. Can push the pace harder next time, had plenty left in the tank.
